Funciones:
| • Support the Construction Manager, D&C Manager, and COO in monitoring and reporting the status of design and construction. Prepare sections of reports to various project stakeholders • Review design deliverables for compliance with contract requirements and reduction in life-cycle costs • Develop recommendations to address D&C concerns and work with the Construction Manager and D&C Manager as necessary to achieve resolution of the items • Coordinate with Design-Build Contractor to address concerns/non-conformances and make recommendations for issuance and resolution of non-conformance reports • Coordinate with project partners and stakeholders, including the project owner, design-build contractor, local government entities, businesses and the general public to communicate D&C activities and address related concerns • Provide technical information and support to other departments within the company to support their activities as they relate to the design and construction of the project • Manage the Technical Oversight and Survey team through periodical (daily to weekly, depending on construction operations) meetings where construction items are prioritized and discussed • Assist in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings and calculations, which may include supervising the production of these drawings • Perform data acquisition and analysis, researching the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations • Prepare material for reports and permit applications, gathering information, writing rough outline, and/or preparing work progression documents and graphic presentations • Performs other duties as the supervisor may deem necessary |
Requisitos:
| Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant branch of Engineering • 2-5 years of experience in highway or roadway design is required • Previous horizontal construction and/or design-build experience highly desirable • Professional Engineer (PE) certification highly preferred Professional Qualities: • Effectively manage tasks and deadlines with independence • Ability to interact with colleagues in a self-managed team structure • Must be able to multitask, problem solve, and implement innovative processes within a fast paced environment • Capable of developing technical writing and communications skills Computer Skills: • Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially as to Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point and other PC based programs • MicroStation knowledge and skills required • GIS experience strongly preferred For consideration for this position, please submit your resume in English and also indicate whether you require employer sponsorship to legally work in the United States
